Dr Muradov offers Edmonton the Myers Cocktail.


He's administered thousands of Myers Cocktails IVs since 2010.  


Most commonly Dr Muradov uses this as a primary IV Therapy treatment for boosting energy in patients with a suspected nutrient deficiency based fatigue. 


For the first 5 years of practice, Dr. Muradov exclusively offered the Myers it in its original "push" format - administered manually in a syringe and has seem tremendous results in a large range of health conditions other than fatigue.  

Since 2016, the Naturopaths at TruMed developed the "Advanced Myers" - a "jacked up" IV Drip format Myers with stronger doses, and a large range of available nutrients for our Edmonton patients.

Key Ingredients


B1 - Thiamine

 B1 is crucial to make the first step of the Krebs Cycle (Acetyl-CoA)

B2 - Riboflavin

 Another crucial part of the Krebs cycle (FAD) 

B3 - Niacinamide

 B3 is the precursor to another Krebs intermediate (NAD)

B5 - Dexpanthenol

 B5 is the precursor to another Krebs cycle factor (CoA).

B6 - Pyridoxine

 Vitamin B6 is needed for enzymatic reactions in the body.

B12 - Methylcobalamin

 B12 is a krebs cycle end product (Succinyl-CoA)

Magnesium

 ATP binds to magnesium to be active

Dr. Muradov usually suggests Myers IV Therapy once weekly for 3-4 weeks to improve energy. The initial effect is usually within 24 hours and the first IV lasts 3-5 days. Subsequent IVs last longer and longer. Our goal is for patients to only need an occasional booster shot to maintain the effect. 

10 - 15 minute IV administration time is typical.

Myers Cocktail - What are the Side Effects? 

As mentioned above, Dr.Muradov has administered thousands of Myers Cocktail IVs and the incidence of side is extremely low. Most commonly, because of the high concentration of the IV, some feel discomfort at the site of injection in the vein - a strong pressure. The magnesium content which dilates blood vessels causes a warming sensation and possibly lightheadedness if administered too rapidly. Rarely, sensitive patients can feel more tired the following day after treatment. 

Myers Cocktail - How does it work? 

IV administration of nutrients can achieve serum concentrations that are not obtainable with oral administration. Peak serum concentrations of nutrients are higher after IV administration, because of rapid entry of the nutrients into the bloodstream. Therefore IV Therapy is more effective than oral treatment for correcting intracellular nutrient deficiencies.
